Well, this is tragic. I bought this book because it has one of my favorite tropes: REVENGE. Claire blames Viscount Sutherland for the death of her brother and she decides to... I don't know, seduce him and then break his heart since killing him isn't an option. And initially, I was like YAAASSS. But... she's really, really bad at getting her revenge. And Gray, the viscount, is such an Angstpants McSadtrousers.
I had this same problem with one of the author's other books. I loved the premise and the writing wasn't bad, but I just really didn't like the characterization of the leads. Everyone has a type, I guess, and the characters she's writing don't have the chemistry or the personalities I'm looking for. It's a shame because I feel like I should really love her books but for whatever reason, they just aren't clicking for me.
Bummer.
